Providing Support to Adults with Disabilities in Virginia

__________

The mission of the programs operated by Helton House, Inc. is to provide skill building, safety supports and other person-centered support services to individuals diagnosed with mental, developmental, and intellectual disabilities. These programs are carried out in an environment where individual rights and personal choices are respected.

In accordance with this belief, individuals will be provided regular opportunities to give input into their Person Centered Plans. The services are focused on providing intensive individualized training in skill development based on the assumption that opportunities should be maximized for individuals to function as independently of support staff as possible.

Our services strive to support individuals in becoming valued, fully integrated members of the local community by assisting them with accessing the full range of community services and activities.
