Edward Helton

Edward Helton is one of the Owners/Executive Directors of Helton House Inc.  He has the responsibility of business planning, business accountability, marketing and chief officer of management/administration of all services provided by Helton House Inc.  He provides direct supervision to the directors of the agency and also the administrative employees.  He is the Chief Personnel Officer of Helton House and is responsible and accountable for all program budgets.  He maintains relationships with Directors, Local Human Services Agencies, Local Human Rights Committee and local, state, and federal agencies and their staff as necessary to accomplish the requirements of his position.

Prior to establishing Helton House Inc. in March 2002, he worked as a residential manager at a local Community Services Board.  He supervised two congregate group homes for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities.  During this time he worked with individuals who displayed significant behavioral challenges in the community.  He worked for that CSB for a period of 12 years.

He also served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years active duty and 4 years inactive duty.  He was discharged in March of 1996 with an Honorable Discharge.  During his 4 years of active duty he served as part of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm during the Iraqi-Kuwait invasion. He has 19 plus years of experience in working with adults with Intellectual Disabilities in both the public and private sectors of the community.

Edward is married to Amy Brown Helton and they have two sons and two daughters.
