Day Support
Day Support
Helton House has both a center based (Group Day Services) and non-center based (Community Engagement) day program. Our day support programs provide skill-building support for the improvement of self-advocacy, self and environmental awareness, socialization, community integration, behavior modification, and daily living skills to name a few. We provide opportunities for peer interaction, development of natural supports, and community engagement through various volunteer and community activities.
We use an individualized treatment approach, refer individuals for additional services/adaptive devices, and coordinate services with other treatment providers. All staff members are trained in developmental disabilities, behavioral treatment approaches, and applicable medical diagnoses.
* Day Support, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and Mental Health Skill Building are all directed by a Licensed Professional Counselor.
** Services are funded through Medicaid, private pay, and other community institutions (when applicable).
